A solar water pump quotation can be accurate only when the inquiry contains the right project data. Many importers and distributors send a simple request such as “price for solar pump,” but solar pump selection depends on head, flow, water source, power supply, controller matching, and installation distance. Without these details, suppliers can only guess, and the first quotation often becomes unsuitable after technical discussion.

The first required parameter is total head. Buyers should provide well depth, static water level, dynamic water level if available, vertical lift to the tank, and horizontal pipe distance. A pump that works for a shallow irrigation pond may fail in a deep well, while a high-head pump may be unnecessarily expensive for a low-lift farm application. Head data is the foundation of the selection.

The second parameter is flow demand. Importers should ask the end customer how much water is needed per hour or per day, and whether the system fills a storage tank or irrigates directly. A livestock watering project, vegetable farm, orchard, and remote household water supply may all use solar pumps, but their flow pattern is different. Daily water volume also helps estimate the PV array size and operating hours.

The third point is pump type and power system. RUTANPUMP can support different solar water pump configurations, including DC solar pumps, solar submersible pumps, and systems with MPPT controllers. Buyers should confirm whether the project needs a complete kit with pump, controller, PV matching suggestion, cable, and accessories, or whether only the pump body is required for local assembly.

Controller and PV matching should be included in the inquiry. The solar pump controller must match motor power, input voltage range, protection functions, and the PV array design. If the buyer already has solar panels, panel wattage, open-circuit voltage, and string configuration should be shared. If panels will be purchased locally, the supplier can recommend a workable PV range for the pump system.

Cable length and installation distance are also important. Long cable runs can create voltage drop, especially in remote farms where the controller, PV panels, and wellhead are far apart. A good supplier needs to know the pump depth, controller position, and panel distance so cable size and system layout can be reviewed before shipment.

For distributors, the inquiry should also include commercial details: target market, expected monthly quantity, required certifications, plug or connector preferences, language for labels and manuals, packaging type, spare parts, warranty expectations, and whether OEM branding is needed. These details help the supplier quote not only the pump, but the complete market-ready product package.

A strong solar water pump inquiry therefore includes: water source, well depth, total head, flow demand, daily water volume, pump type preference, PV panel information, cable distance, installation country, packaging requirements, and quantity plan. With this information, RUTANPUMP can recommend a more accurate model and reduce back-and-forth before order confirmation.
