Getting Started with Solar Pumping
Installing a solar water pump might seem daunting, but with the right guidance, it's a straightforward process. The key to success lies in accurate sizing. At RUTANPUMP, we help you calculate your Total Dynamic Head (TDH) and daily water requirements to ensure you get the perfect system for your needs.
Step 1: Sizing Your System
You need to know how much water you need per day and the vertical distance the water needs to travel. Don't forget to account for friction loss in the pipes! Once you have these numbers, you can select a pump and the corresponding solar array power.
Step 2: Installation Tips
Ensure your solar panels are facing true south (in the northern hemisphere) and are free from shadows. Use high-quality DC cables to minimize power loss. For submersible pumps, always use a safety rope to lower the pump into the well.
